APPRENTICESHIPS
Portobello-RMF operates a long-term apprenticeship policy and regularly employs new apprentices to prevent the skills gap from widening any further and support the development of skilled professionals in the specialist engineering industry. Portobello-RMF has recognised the need for more skilled workers as the skills base continues to decline each year, therefore, we are actively seeking to establish relationships with training organisations and colleges.
The recruitment process starts in the spring of each year, with an anticipated start date of September. Successful applicants will be required to attend AMRC or RCAT on Day Release. Applicants are required to have achieved Grades A-B in GCSE Maths, English and 1 other core subject.
If you have an interest in fabrication and welding and are interested in becoming part of this programme, as either an individual or educational body, contact Portobello-RMF to register your interest.
